The first post-Band effort for Helm finds him in excellent form supported by a literal array of
luminaries. The songs are tight, cooking, and energetic and the level of skill is quite high,
The slow blues cuts are the best showcase for Helm.
This album shows what can be done with the vinyl cover format. The outside cover is die cut to reveal the inner cover snow scene. When removed it shows a group portrait of the band,
